On May 8, 2003 a group of community workers got together to discuss needs in the community we serve. We all seemed to agree the focus should be on the homeless. The state gave us their definition of Homeless which is as follows:
· an individual who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence
· economic hardship, lack of basic utilities, food, clothing essentials
Our Mission Statement then was to focus on getting our 501 C3 non profit status which we completed on January 21, 2004.
We firmly believe the scriptures Mathew 25: 35-40 which we use as our guidelines of helping families and those in need. Our efforts focus on a Helping Hand, not a Hand-Out. All our workers are volunteers giving back to help others also in need of help.
